• Does insurance cover my membership?

  NovoMed Concierge Medicine accepts all insurance types, except for Medi-Cal. We bill your insurance for office visits and procedures, just as a traditional healthcare provider would. Your insurance benefits, including co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurances, will apply as outlined by your insurance plan. A monthly membership fee also applies (this is not covered by your insurance).

• Important Note on Deductibles:

  Patients are responsible for all charges applied to their deductible. NovoMed Concierge Medicine does not cover or waive deductible amounts. Any portion of services not paid by your insurance plan (including deductible responsibility) will be billed directly to you.

• What does the Signature Health Assessment in my subscription provide?

  While most insurance plans include a basic annual physical, NovoMed Concierge Medicine goes far beyond the standard evaluation. Our program includes in-office EKG testing with physician interpretation, along with a comprehensive evaluation of your health to improve longevity and wellness.

  During your annual wellness visit, we take a deeper look at areas that are often overlooked in traditional primary care, including:

  • Sleep health evaluation
  • Mental and emotional wellness screening
  • Personal health and longevity goals
  • Cancer screening review
  • Preventive cardiovascular assessment
  • Lifestyle and metabolic health analysis

  The insights from this enhanced evaluation, combined with personalized one-on-one consultations with your physician, allow us to create a customized wellness plan tailored specifically to you. Our goal is not just to treat illness, but to optimize your health, identify risks early, and support long-term wellness and longevity through a proactive and personalized approach to care.

• What makes NovoMed Concierge Medicine different from a traditional primary care practice?

  NovoMed Concierge Medicine is designed to provide you with more time, attention, and direct access to your physician. Instead of rushed visits, you’ll experience extended appointments and open communication with your doctor. Our model emphasizes preventive care, personalized wellness services, and a strong physician-patient relationship.

• How much access do I have to my care team?

  With membership to NovoMed Concierge Medicine, you’ll have direct access to your care team for same-day or next-day weekday appointments, as well as the ability to connect via phone, email, or messaging. We intentionally limit our patient panel size, so your doctor has more time to focus on your care and is available when you need them most.

• Can NovoMed Concierge Medicine help me manage my chronic conditions?

  Yes. Whether you’re living with heart disease, chronic pain, or another chronic condition, our approach goes beyond routine check-ins. We use advanced monitoring, frequent follow-ups, and customized care plans to keep you on track. Our team coordinates closely with specialists and supports you in making lifestyle changes that improve long-term health outcomes.

• Is NovoMed Concierge Medicine right for me?

  If you value proactive, personalized care and easy access to your physician, concierge medicine is a strong fit. Many of our patients are professionals seeking convenience, individuals managing chronic conditions, or people who simply want to prioritize their health. We’re happy to schedule a time to discuss your needs and help you decide if this model of care is the right choice for you.

• Can I use my HSA for my membership?

  After January 1, 2026 (new federal rules)
  New legislation will allow DPC/concierge membership fees to qualify as an HSA-eligible medical expense.

  Individuals may use HSA funds tax-free for up to $150/month, and families up to $300/month.

  Membership will no longer interfere with HSA eligibility, allowing you to pair an HSA with a high-deductible health plan (HDHP).

  You may also still itemize fees above the allowable HSA amounts if you qualify.

  What this means for patients
  These updated rules significantly improve the tax advantages of concierge medicine, lowering out-of-pocket costs for many patients starting in 2026.
