After January 1, 2026 (new federal rules) New legislation will allow DPC/concierge membership fees to qualify as an HSA-eligible medical expense. Individuals may use HSA funds tax-free for up to $150/month, and families up to $300/month. Membership will no longer interfere with HSA eligibility, allowing you to pair an HSA with a high-deductible health plan (HDHP). You may also still itemize fees above the allowable HSA amounts if you qualify. What this means for patients These updated rules significantly improve the tax advantages of concierge medicine, lowering out-of-pocket costs for many patients starting in 2026.
